Mola Three collection
Mola 3 Collection of embroidery designs has 6 more wonderful Mola patterns in 2 sizes along with an alphabet that compliments the Molas..
Mola art originated in Panama by the Kuna Indian women. Before missionaries settled in the region, Kuna women painted themselves with colorful geometric shapes. This later developed into reverse appliqued panels that were made into blouses. Mola comes from the word for clothes in their native language.
I used mostly satin stitches to represent the reverse applique. Blending of geometric and animal shapes in vibrant colors makes these creations fun and exciting.
There are 6 different designs and an alpha.
